Maybe your recovery is good, or you don't make stupid, risky plays as much as everyone else, or perhaps you're good at relieving pressure. It's good that you don't try to do that fancy stuff in-game, but not knowing fancy skills doesn't imply that your rotation is what's making up for it.
#TRAINING CHAMP APP REDDIT HOW TO#
It's only this past season that I decided to learn how to half flip and I've been at least GC in 11 different seasons. Neither are ceiling shots, or flip resets, or speed flips, or half-flips. Maybe you rotate well relative to your peers, but at Champion I can guarantee you have significant holes in rotational habits and decision-making that players into that.Īir dribbling just isn't an essential skill. It's something that changes at every level, but also relies primarily on awareness on adaptability. Most players in the GC ranks still have pretty poor rotational habits and significant holes in their game. Rotation is extremely complex and I would argue a lot harder to master than any mechanical skill. You can check out my sub r/RocketLeagueYtzi for resources that you may find helpful, and you can submit a replay there for me to analyze as well, if you decide to go that route. Otherwise, my guess would be that you have typical problems like not rotating to the goal properly, not taking wide rotations, hitting the brakes too much, defending/supporting from between the ball and the goal, etc. Submit a replay to get analyzed and get some tailored advice. Train them if you want, but they're not necessary skills. Many of those changes also lead to fixes in mechanical execution by simply putting you in better positions to execute from, and giving you the experience to know which challenges aren't worth going for (which can often make players think that their mechanics are to fault).Ĭeiling shots are unimportant quick kick offs are unimportant. watch pros move about the field and when you see them do something particularly simple and efficient, try and replicate thatĮveryone progresses in their own way, but the game meta is so highly mechanical that you'll hardly find any players who know the rotational/positional aspect of the game very well, and I'm sure there's some significant holes in your game that aren't related to mechanics at all that you can, and should, start fixing. Most efficient way to practice kick-offs (after training packs which don't have the count-down) is in 1v1 with a bot - if you have bakkesmod, there's a plugin that will suck the ball into the goal on touch which speeds things upĬar-control generally comes from good aerial control, and good recoveries - both are better trained in free-play or workshop. I very often make my own packs that are just one or two shots, when i see something in someone elses play that I want to learnġ818-7E43-25A5-1B95 is great for practicing off the wall play that isn't the set-up, if you hold boost and nothing else at the start, you'll get a good set-up for aerials/ceiling shots For champ, i'd recommend finding youtube videos of people making specific shots (either in training or otherwise) and trying to precisely replicate that play in custom training
